English left-back Kieran Gibbs has agreed a transfer to the MLS (Major League Soccer) and he’s expected to move to the United States at the end of this season. The West Brom player will join Inter Miami in the MLS when his contract with the Baggies end this summer.

Kieran Gibbs confirmed that he would be starting a new chapter in his football career at Inter Miami at the end of last month. According to him via his official Instagram account, the Englishman is delighted with the move to link up with Premier League legend David Beckham at Inter Miami.

Manchester United legend Beckham is a co-owner at MLS club Inter Miami and he’s brain behind the recruitment drive that has seen Kieran Gibbs agree a move to the club ahead of this summer. Inter Miami has previously signed Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain and French midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

Higuain played for some of the biggest clubs on the European football scene before his move to Inter Miami last year. The Argentine international featured for the likes of Spanish giants Real Madrid, Italian Serie A team Napoli and Italian champions Juventus.For Matuidi, the Frenchmanpreviously played for big teams such as Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Juventus in Europe.

Beckham and Inter Miami are hoping for a better season ahead of the 2020 MLS campaign that ended in elimination at the play-in round of the MLS Cup playoffs. The 2020 MLS season was the debut campaign for Inter Miami in the United States topflight.

In a bid to perform better in their second season in the MLS, Inter Miami signed Phil Neville. Neville was the England women national team boss before he left to take up the Inter Miami job. Phil Neville and David Beckham were former teammates at Premier League giants Manchester United.
